Value studies are by-products of my process of creating a large oil painting. Once I finish my perspective drawing for a given aircraft, I overlay the drawing with a sheet of semi-transparent vellum and lay in my shading and values. This allows me to figure out how the shadows will fall across the aircraft and where the highlights and darkest shadows will be.

Often times, the value studies for larger aircraft come out nicely enough that they are suitable for framing. When that happens, I put them up for sale. Below is a list of value studies which are currently available.
