Wind In The Wires is a tribute to the venerable Boeing PT-17 Stearman. A primary trainer of WW2, the Stearman was used by both the Army Air Corps and the Navy to train their aviation cadets. Almost every US airman of WW2 logged hours in this airplane. Today, the Stearman is considered a collector's aircraft and is still a favorite on the airshow circuit.
