Fokker F.1 is a painting which depicts Werner Voss beautiful Fokker F.1 Triplane. This piece was the first in what would become a series of works paying tribute to Leutnant Werner Voss. Voss flew several different types of aircraft during his wartime career, but he is perhaps best associated with this Fokker F.1 triplane. Later production models of the triplane would bear the designation Dr.1, but Voss triplane, being a prototype, was one of three designated F.1. One of the most striking features of Voss triplane was a mustached face painted on the cowling (not seen from this view).
Printed on acid free stock with fade resistant inks, the print is signed by Russell Smith.
