"Boston Garden Birdbath is, I feel, an image that is more intimate than most of my other landscapes. I came across this birdbath as I was walking through Boston Garden. I have to admit I would have walked right past without giving it a second glance had I not noticed a tourist standing there taking close up photos of the birds. As I looked to see what he was photographing I began to notice beautiful curves, colors and shapes that were created as the light fell across the birdbath. I was also fascinated by the quiet intimacy of the small birds around the sculpture of a boy, oblivious to the big city that surrounded them. "
